• Sam is a Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach and has been working in and around Wincanton for the past 10 years. With a client base ranging from professional athletes to complete beginners, he has a vast amount of experience helping people run further, lift more, overcome injuries or simply feel better about themselves.

He started working with Kate and her husband Mark at Studio Zest in Tisbury in 2022 and the opening of Zest Wincanton is both the start of a fantastic new venture and the meeting of their likeminded approach to health, fitness and wellbeing.

Sam loves running and training in the gym to improve this through strength training, plyometrics and yoga. He has a wife, two young children and a crazy golden retriever that help to keep him extremely active for most of the hours in the day!

  • Clare has always had a deep passion for movement, exercise, and particularly running. Her journey with Pilates began in the early 2000s, when she discovered its transformative benefits firsthand. Inspired by the positive impact it had on her body and wellbeing, she made the bold decision to leave her office career and retrain as a Pilates teacher.

In 2013, Clare qualified in Matwork Pilates and went on to complete her Comprehensive Pilates Equipment training around eight years ago. Since then, she has been teaching in the local area, building a strong reputation for her supportive, knowledgeable, and attentive approach.

Clare works with a wide range of clients and loves how the Pilates system can be adapted to suit everyone—whether you're looking to support your body through rehab or take on a new challenge. With a keen eye for detail and a warm, encouraging style, Clare is dedicated to helping each person get the most out of every session.

  • Pilates Teacher & Veterinary Physiotherapist

Following a serious riding accident in 2008, Pilates played a vital role in my rehabilitation—and I’ve been passionate about the Method ever since. I began teaching in 2010 after completing my training at The Scott Studio, and I now combine my Pilates teaching with my work as a veterinary physiotherapist.

As a self-confessed anatomy geek, I’m fascinated by how the body moves and love to focus on the detail of each exercise, always staying true to the original Pilates Principles. I firmly believe Pilates is for every BODY, and that’s reflected in my classes: varied, inclusive, tailored to the individual—and hopefully always full of fun.
